Triune Specialty Trailers is a passionate supporter of STEM education. STEM is a curriculum with a focus on science, technology, engineering and math. The most recent Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 2012 ranked the United States 27th in math and 20th in science among 34 other members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). At the same time, the U.S. has an increasing need for workers in the STEM field. Triune is honored to help educate and inspire the next generation of those STEM workers.
Triune has built several custom mobile solutions with the purpose of spreading awareness and promoting education and training in STEM fields. Following are a sampling of Triune-built training and education vehicles:
Triune created the Lincoln Electric “Careers in Welding” Tour trailer with the help of the American Welding Society. This double expandable trailer opens to 1,000 square feet of interior space and is outfitted with VRTEX 260 Virtual Reality Arc Welding trainers. These stations allow visitors to learn about welding, and to actually try their hand at welding through cutting-edge simulation programs.
The PSEG Fossil LLC “Mobile Welding Training Unit” was built to provide up-to-date education and advanced training to employees. The variety of customizable options, expansive interior space, and ease of set-up make it a comparable option to a brick-and-mortar facility with the added bonus of mobility that allows it to travel to different locations.
There are many burgeoning new concepts, initiatives and ideas to promote STEM training and education. Triune Specialty Trailers has the experience, engineering and design expertise to turn these ideas into reality. Contact us to hear more about our STEM education trailers or how we can help you.
